To avoid any losses of record or set a deadlock on the system, LoriotPro uses a spooler containing the SQL messages to send to the Database. Each record is saved in an independent file located in the bin/odbc.directory. An internal process takes care of the waiting records in the spool in their received order.
Répertoire du spool ODBC
The Database access could be impossible in certain conditions or could generate error messages.
An internal process tries at regular interval to close the base. When the base is closed an event is sent to the Event manager including the reason provided by the ODBC driver. If the process is able to reconnect to the base automatically, an event number 10 is sent.
Example of spool file: bin/odbc/spool00000000000000000040.txt
UPDATE loriot_hosts SET name='ATG', mac='(null)', groupref='0', polltimeout='0' WHERE host_id='2047484170';
In the following screen capture, the system tries to reinitialize the Database access.
The SQL server is not working
In the Event manager window the base is closed.
The connection to the SQL server is
closed
Examples of ODBC erros
In this state, events are not longer sent to the spooler and the database is closed.
Warning : If the ODBC driver is in a deadlock state (window freezed), you should stop LoriotPro from the task manager and restart it.
