Physical Layer Host Table

The "host table" provides ethernet traffic statistics since the probe was started.

SNMP data are collected from the RMON probe. The probe should be compatible with the RMON MIB RFC1757.

To access the "host table" click on the icon or select it in the Ethernet Layer menu option.

Table description

Column Description
Host Name The host name retreived from the LoriotPro directory. If the host name is unknown LoriotPro is unable to detect or discover the MAC address or this host is dont declared in the directory.
Host Address The physical address (MAC address) of the host.
Incomming Octets The number of octets transmitted to this address since it was added to the hostTable (excluding framing bits but including FCS octets), except for those octets in bad packets.
Outgoing Octets The number of octets transmitted by this address since it was added to the hostTable (excluding framing bits but including FCS octets), including those octets in bad packets.
Incomming Packets The number of good packets transmitted to this address since it was added to the hostTable.
Outgoing Packets The number of packets, including bad packets, transmitted by this address since it was added
to the hostTable.
Outgoing Errors The number of bad packets transmitted by this address since this host was added to the hostTable.

Outgoing Broadcast Packets

The number of good packets transmitted by this address that were directed to the broadcast address since this host was added to the hostTable.
Outgoing Multicast Packets The number of good packets transmitted by this address that were directed to a multicast address since this host was added to the hostTable. Note that this number does not include packets directed to the broadcast address.
