RMON Probe Interfaces

An RMON probe can have one or more network interfaces to ensure the collection of statistical data and possibly capture traffic.
Network interfaces are Ethernet regardless of their throughput.

An Ethernet switch supporting RMON (n groups) can have RMON probe capabilities on each of its interfaces (ports). Each port provides statistic information on the flow that it sees and added them to the table(s) of the RMON groups supported.

RMON GUI displays a list of available interfaces for a RMON probe or RMON compliant Ethernet switch in a table.

To access this table, select the main menu option Probe and then option Interfaces.
