Sending E-MAIL on Event

Introduction

This service Plugin is used jointly to the Event manager. You need it if you want to send an E-mail when receiving specific events.

When receiving an event if the action is to send a SMTP message a new message is created by the Event Manager in the bin/smtp_out directory. This message is a simple text file including variable values gathered from the file trapfilter.txt.

The SMTPEvent Scheduler Plugin working as a mailer program, checks at regular intervals if new messages are posted in this directory (outbox) and sends it.
