As the famous Ping program that sends a ICMP echo packet, the Snmp Ping tool sends a simple SNMP query and wait for an answer.
It allows you to check that the connectivity is right, that the SNMP agent is working and that you have set the right Read community and snmp protocol version in the LoriotPro directory for this host.
Use the host tool bar, icone , after the selection of the host to ping in the directory.
Example
The selected host is 10.33.10.121.
The default SNMP OID object requested by the snmp ping is Sysname but this one could be changed.
Multiple snmp requests could not be made from that program.
The result of the request is displayed in a dialog.
